Job Summary:

Provides personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN). Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints, and restorative care.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, restraints, and restorative care.
  • Performs tasks associated with technical skills, including pyloric, jejunostomy, gastrostomy tube feedings, warm and cold therapies, and finger stick capillary blood testing.
  • Helps patients with their basic needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Performs clerical duties, including routing patient reports as appropriate, and uses organizational skills to keep the unit running smoothly.
Requirements:
  • CNA certification and CNA2 endorsement verified by the OSBN.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP preferred.
