Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Adventist Health, you will provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Your tasks will include assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as performing routine assigned tasks and reporting patients' status and concerns to the RN.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, including assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, and restorative care.
  • Authorized duties and standards per Chapter 851 Division 63 may include giving Chlorhexidine baths, assisting with coughing and deep breathing, turning oxygen on and off, and collecting specimens.
  • Measures, records, and empties output from drainage devices and closed drainage systems.
  • Performs fingerstick capillary blood tests and removes masks after nebulizer treatments.
  • Cares for deceased individuals, including removing non-surgically inserted tubes.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Previous experience working as a CNA or Caregiver is preferred.
