The National Intelligence University (NIU) offers both Bachelor's and Master's degree programs tailored to the needs of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive student advisory program designed to train faculty on effective student advising and the application of NIU advising standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance a university-wide advising program, ensuring consistency in advising practices across the School of Science and Technology and the College of Strategic Intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the provost and deputy provosts to identify departmental strengths and integrate them with industry best practices to establish an effective advisory program for faculty.
  • Contribute to the creation of an online advising portal and assist leadership in analyzing the data generated.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for students seeking advisory support.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in advising both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends across various university locations.
  • A Bachelor's degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education).

  • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience in collaborating with advisors to enhance university policies, procedures, and training methodologies for advisors.
