Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare facility.


The role involves working at the front desk, serving as the initial point of contact for patients and clinical personnel. Responsibilities include patient check-in, verifying insurance details, collecting co-pays, and managing various administrative tasks. This position is crucial in ensuring that patients receive exceptional service throughout their experience.


Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and provide clear instructions to visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

• Evaluate health insurance benefits, confirm eligibility, and communicate pertinent information regarding payment policies and billing processes.

• Ensure the reception area is well-maintained and organized.

• Execute clerical duties while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

• Assess and collect each patient's financial obligations.

• Support the practice manager and other team members as needed.

• Provide comprehensive assistance to Physicians and contribute to office operations.

• Gather and record patient history accurately.

• Comprehend and uphold standard healthcare regulatory requirements.

• Safeguard and manage all patient and business documentation while ensuring confidentiality.

• Carry out office procedures, including general administrative tasks.

• Document all medical interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

• May be required to assist at nearby locations as needed.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• At least one year of experience in a medical office or emergency care environment is preferred.

• Experience in urgent care settings is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Availability to work from 7 am to 7 pm for three days a week, including rotating weekends and holidays.

• Familiarity with insurance eligibility and co-pay processes is essential.
