Role Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Administrator with extensive experience in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Professional software, along with robust data management capabilities.
  • This position entails overseeing the transition of acquired MCAD data and integrating engineering applications into the company's systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate acquired MCAD Data for quality assurance and provide resource and remediation assessments.
  • Participate in and contribute to process improvement sessions for comprehensive Migration/Integration strategies.
  • Formulate and document MCAD Migration Plans in collaboration with various departments (R&D, Quality, Supplier Engineering, Process Engineering, etc.) including stakeholders from acquired entities.
  • Educate acquired design teams on newly established MCAD and data management protocols.
  • Facilitate weekly cross-functional meetings with Integration CAD teams.
  • Work alongside IT during the rollout of laptops for acquired personnel.
  • Address issues and adjust strategies and timelines as necessary.
  • Identify and document lessons learned during the Migration/Integration process to enhance future acquisition efficiencies.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for CAD-related challenges.
  • Establish and uphold CAD standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Guide and support users in utilizing CAD software and tools effectively.
  • Collaborate with design teams to streamline CAD workflows and processes.
  • Assist in creating and implementing CAD training initiatives.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure seamless integration of CAD systems with other technologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for CAD standards, libraries, and user manuals.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (0-30%).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in 3D MCAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Catia, Inventor, SolidEdge, OnShape).
  • Demonstrated experience as a MCAD Administrator or in a comparable role.
  • Strong technical expertise in MCAD Data management, with a thorough understanding of quality MCAD Data practices.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities and the ability to devise solutions for intricate MCAD data remediation issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE).
  • Experience with Mechanical CAD PDM Systems (SolidWorks PDM or similar).
