Position Summary:

VBC is in search of a dedicated SAP Application Manager to facilitate the ongoing evolution and utilization of SAP systems. This pivotal role offers extensive interaction with various business functions, emphasizing both partnership and technical advancement. The position reports directly to the SVP of Operations and oversees a team of SAP developers based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the design, execution, and upkeep of SAP solutions, encompassing system setup, customization, and integration with additional SAP modules.
  • Lead a team of SAP analysts, offering mentorship, support, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to collect and assess requirements.
  • Convert business needs into technical specifications for SAP configurations and enhancements.
  • Prioritize the implementation of standard solutions to meet specific business requirements while facilitating necessary business process adjustments to align with SAP workflows.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and customizations.
  • Oversee change management processes to ensure seamless transitions for end-users following system modifications or enhancements.
  • Effectively communicate changes and provide training and support to encourage user adoption.
  • Deliver regular updates on user engagement and adoption metrics to the SVP of Operations and the Executive Committee.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels to comprehend business needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support integrated business processes and solutions, managing relationships with external vendors and partners involved in application development and support.
  • Assess vendor performance and negotiate contracts for software and services.
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing enhancement in application functionality, user experience, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in SAP logistics modules (MM, WM, SD, LE).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity overseeing SAP implementation and support teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP functionalities, configurations, and integration with other platforms and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in dynamic environments that are hands-on, lean, and involve multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is highly desirable.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • SAP certifications in logistics modules (MM, WM, SD, LE) are advantageous.
