Job Summary

IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the construction and delivery of industrial piping projects in various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction and delivery of industrial piping projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Lead a team of department staff, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase business in designated areas and cultivate positive customer relationships.
  • Assist in hiring and developing a field crew for the Pipe group/division.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or 3-5 years of experience in project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple job tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings.
  • Experience in the fabrication and installation of piping systems in commercial and industrial applications.
  • Ability to inspect, correct, and coach on proper applications of fitting and welding procedures.
  • Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, copper, and various high-pressure/temperature alloys.
  • Initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
  • Standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard operating equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to work from vehicle up to 75% of time quoting work/visiting customers.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 5% of the time.
