We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Lead to join our team at MidPen Housing. Key Responsibilities- Training and Development: Train and supervise maintenance staff, including establishing daily work schedules and providing input for annual performance reviews.
- Maintenance Operations: Manage the day-to-day maintenance operations of assigned properties, including assisting with move-ins, move-outs, and annual inspections.
- Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance performed, including inventory control and management of equipment and supplies.
- Emergency Response: Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekends, and holiday coverage, responding to emergency calls as needed.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma and five years of experience in maintenance, landscaping, irrigation systems, interior/exterior painting, rough and finish carpentry, replacement of flooring/glass, lock assemblies, and extensive plumbing knowledge.
- Supervisory Experience: Three years of supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge in overseeing work crews and apartment turnovers.
- Knowledge and Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
