Fleet Maintenance Manager

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fixed route bus operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual requirements are met, and will have a strong background in managing maintenance functions, budgets, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and direct a team of fleet technicians, service workers, and cleaners to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, budgets, and reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of maintenance materials.
- Implement and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Manage the financial and accounting aspects of fleet maintenance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including written and oral communication.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- At least three years of recent experience managing maintenance functions in a transit bus maintenance shop.
- Experience managing/directing 15+ employees.
- Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year.
- Previous passenger transportation experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to manage and interface with clients.
- Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ability to prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
- Ability to manage financial/accounting aspects of fleet maintenance operations.
- Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
- ASE or manufacturer's certifications a plus.
Starting salary range: $115,832-$133,952
