Role Summary:

As an Environmental Services Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness of our Memory Care residents' living spaces and communal areas following a structured timetable and established protocols. This role involves engaging with residents experiencing cognitive challenges through meaningful interaction and physical activities, fostering their independence and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications for Environmental Services Coordinator:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one to three years of relevant experience or training.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Preferred experience with individuals facing memory challenges.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while ensuring timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Show genuine commitment to staff well-being and inspire excellence through empowerment.
  • Support and mentor Memory Care team members to foster compassionate relationships with residents.
  • Ensure the daily cleanliness of Memory Care areas, including resident apartments.
  • Conduct bi-weekly deep cleans of resident living spaces.
  • Engage with residents during your presence in the neighborhood.
  • Oversee the cleaning of dining areas and kitchenettes.
  • Participate in care conferences as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, providing assistance as needed.
  • Influence and enhance team efforts through relationship building and ongoing coaching.
  • Collaborate with community leadership to ensure enriching experiences for Memory Care residents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

This role requires prolonged periods of standing. While performing job duties, the employee must effectively communicate, sit, stand, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks. Occasionally, reaching with hands and arms is necessary. The position also involves reviewing detailed documents and using computer screens. Lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment necessitates appropriate interaction with others, with a moderate noise level.
