Position Overview

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Certification: Completion of the Train-the-Trainer program is required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: STNA Train-the-Trainer Primary Instructor (PI) ODH Certification, or a commitment to complete the TTT program immediately upon hire.
  • Must possess a valid licensure without any pending disciplinary actions.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) candidates should have a minimum of two years (3200 hours) of experience in caring for elderly or chronically ill individuals, acquired through work in long-term care facilities, geriatrics departments, home health agencies, or hospitals.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates should also have a minimum of two years (3200 hours) of experience in similar settings.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Responsible for instructing clinical skills to students in a Skills Lab for application in clinical environments.
  • Supervise students during clinical site rotations as they practice clinical skills with elderly patients.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records as mandated by the state of Ohio.
  • Adhere to the instructional curriculum as defined by the Ohio Department of Health.
  • Must be Basic First Aid/CPR certified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to assigned students and subjects as per schedule.
  • Implement lesson plans that align with state educational standards.
  • Utilize diverse instructional techniques to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development.
  • Advocate for students by observing their behavior and addressing any concerns.
  • Assist students in making informed decisions and achieving academic growth, while fostering creativity, critical thinking, cultural awareness, ethical conduct, and self-reliance.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance and achievements.
