STNA Training Facilitator

Salary: $20.00 per hour
Certification: Completion of the Train-the-Trainer program is required.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: STNA Train-the-Trainer Primary Instructor (PI) ODH Certification, or a commitment to complete the TTT program upon hiring.
- Must possess valid licensure, free from any pending disciplinary actions.
- Registered Nurse (RN) candidates should have at least two years (3200 hours) of experience working with elderly or chronically ill patients in settings such as long-term care facilities, geriatrics departments, home health agencies, or hospitals.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates should also have a minimum of two years (3200 hours) of relevant experience.
- Teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Responsible for instructing clinical skills to students in a Skills Lab for application in clinical environments.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations as they practice skills with elderly patients.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records as mandated by the state of Ohio.
- Adhere to the instructional curriculum as outlined by the Ohio Department of Health.
- Must be certified in basic first aid and CPR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to assigned students and subject areas as per schedule.
- Execute lesson plans that align with state educational standards.
- Utilize diverse instructional methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development.
- Advocate for student needs, monitor their behavior, and report any unusual conduct.
- Guide students in making informed decisions and foster their academic growth. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, cultural awareness, democratic values, empathy, ethical behavior, and self-sufficiency.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and achievement.
