This position typically operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with occasional Saturday shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct repairs and perform scheduled maintenance services on various vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, suspension, brake systems, and air systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and vehicle computer systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Complete all required documentation using fleet maintenance software, including parts usage and repair time tracking.
  • Review and address repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Perform safety inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and conduct service calls as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with corporate and OSHA regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This role involves significant physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Work may take place indoors in a workshop or outdoors, requiring adaptability to various conditions.
  • Occasionally, tasks may require working in confined spaces or handling tools that may be greasy or dirty, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is preferred, or the ability to obtain one in the future.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • Personal tools are necessary for this position; welding and fabrication skills are highly valued.
  • Familiarity with computer systems is advantageous.
