Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic systems, engine, fuel system, drive train, steering, brakes, and suspension components on heavy equipment, zero turn mowers, and other machinery.
  • Utilize precision diagnostic tools and measuring devices to aid in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems and components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive measures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and effective problem-solving.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in heavy equipment technology.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of journeyman-level experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE certifications in brakes and suspension & steering under Medium-Heavy Truck within 1 year of hire.
  • Attainment of Mobile Air Conditioning Society or ASE air conditioning certifications within 1 year of hire.
  • Possession and maintenance of a Florida Commercial Driver's License Class B within 1 year of employment with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules, including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
