Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at Pinellas County FL. As a key member of our fleet management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine, fuel system, drive train, steering, brakes, and suspension components on heavy trucks, hydraulic systems, and pumps.
  • Use precision diagnostic tools and measuring devices to aid in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems and components.
  • Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems, electronic and engine diagnosis utilizing sophisticated diagnostic equipment, and programming electronic components in equipment.
  • Perform related work as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of journeyman level experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, truck, or off-road, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Attainment of ASE certifications in brakes and suspension & steering under Medium-Heavy Truck within 1 year of hire.
  • Possession and maintenance of a Florida Commercial Driver's License Class B within 1 year of employment with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report.
  • Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
