Job Overview

Gator Transport Group is seeking a reliable and skilled Class A/B CDL driver to join our team. As an Industrial Rollback Driver, you will be responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment on lowboy, flatbed, and landoll trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload heavy equipment on/off trailers, including front end loaders, long reach excavators, dozers, rollers, lull/forklifts, off-road dump trucks, and backhoes.
  • Operate tractor trailers, dump trucks, and/or roll off equipment.
  • Verify the type of materials being transported and ensure proper weight restrictions.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure the truck is in operable working order.
  • Conduct daily equipment checks, including fluids and grease.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management.
  • Complete electronic pre/post trip DOT inspection reports.
  • Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist in mobilizations/demobilizations as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous labor tasks on job sites.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience loading heavy construction equipment on lowboy, flatbed, and landoll trailers.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean record.
  • Current medical card required.
  • Ability to travel and drive manual and automatic transmissions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • OSHA certifications a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently will reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; frequently will lift 25 pounds; occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
