Job Summary


As a CT Scan Technologist at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technologist to join our team and contribute to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operate highly sophisticated CT scanners to perform diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for medical professionals to interpret.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of CT scan protocols, radiation safety, and quality control measures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the imaging process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies, techniques, and best practices to maintain expertise and contribute to the growth and development of the department.


Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology with additional training in CT is required.
  • Valid Florida State license as a Radiology Technologist is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions

The CT Scan Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure or emergent situations. The position requires frequent interaction with a diverse population, including team members, providers, patients, and other members of the public. The technologist will be exposed to various environments, including communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment.
