Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan MRI Technologist to join our team at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate highly sophisticated x-ray equipment to perform specialized diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform dynamic and other specialized scans of the head, chest, spine, abdomen, and extremities as ordered.
  • Prepare sterile fields and provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Assist physicians when needed and follow protocol for computer start-up and shut down.
  • Review patient charts for laboratory results and allergies, and check patient identification bands before transporting patients.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Valid Florida State license as a radiology technologist is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Working Conditions

This position requires extended standing or walking, and the ability to carry objects weighing 21 to 50 pounds. The job function also requires frequent visual acuity to perform activities related to extended use of computers.

Environmental Conditions

The job is subject to inside environmental conditions, with occasional outdoor exposures. The technologist may be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment.
