Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Jackson Memorial Hospital - Radiology CT Scan. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating complex x-ray equipment and performing specialized diagnostic procedures to visualize parts and organs of the body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate highly sophisticated x-ray equipment to perform dynamic and specialized scans of the head, chest, spine, abdomen, and extremities.
  • Perform specialized diagnostic procedures such as biopsy drainage studies and prepare sterile fields.
  • Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and follow protocol for computer start-up and shut down.
  • Review patient charts for laboratory results and allergies, and check patient identification bands before transporting patients.
  • Develop films and adjust automatic film processing equipment as needed.
  • Communicate with and reassure patients, and perform basic patient care functions.
  • Initiate life-supporting measures for patients if necessary, and provide holiday coverage as required.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology with additional training in CT.
  • Valid Florida State license as a Radiology Technologist.
  • ARRT certification within six months of hire for employees hired after 2/1/2017.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time evening shift position with rotating weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
