Job Title: CT Technologist Level I

University of Miami is seeking a skilled CT Technologist Level I to join our team in Miami, Florida.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Radiologist and adhere to prescribed radiation safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and examine orders for CT scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient identity and obtain necessary consents and education.
  • Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment.
  • Integrate diagnostic, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as necessary.
  • Adhere to CT protocols to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and collate processed images in sequence of exposure.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in UChart/Radiant.
  • Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide education and training to student technologists.
  • Abide by hospital/department HR policies and regulatory body guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in a relevant field.
  • ARRT registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
