CAT Scan Technologist, Full-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CAT Scan Technologist to join our team at the University of Miami Hospital - Imaging Services. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for obtaining and examining CT scan orders, ensuring that they are appropriate for the type of exam recommended by the physician.
You will also be responsible for identifying patient service requirements, verifying patient IDs, and obtaining necessary consents. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment, adhering to prescribed radiation safety procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
As a CAT Scan Technologist, you will work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, charging procedures and supplies, and providing on-call coverage.

Responsibilities- Obtain and examine CT scan orders to ensure they are appropriate for the type of exam recommended by the physician
- Identify patient service requirements and verify patient IDs
- Obtain necessary consents and perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and charge procedures and supplies
- Provide on-call coverage and work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
- Associate degree in a relevant field
- ARRT registration
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
