Position Overview
Bach Homes is currently looking for a skilled Purchaser with experience in production homebuilding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile bid packages that include all necessary construction documentation.
- Evaluate and qualify bids from subcontractors.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors effectively.
- Negotiate and implement change order requests.
- Assist the Project Manager with various tasks as needed.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including owners, managers, designers, and tradespeople.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven individual.
- Proficient in conflict resolution.
- Comprehensive understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and industry regulations.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and comprehend industry scopes of work.
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably with a production builder.
