Job Overview

Position Summary

The role of the Director of Technology Strategy is pivotal in fostering collaboration across all organizational levels to enhance the utilization of current business systems and develop cohesive solutions that drive cost efficiency and innovation. This position is charged with steering the formulation and implementation of the organization's digital strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overarching enterprise objectives to address future requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Directs the technology team in overseeing the management of infrastructure, hardware, software, and telecommunication systems.
  2. Builds, develops, and retains a skilled team of technology experts to fulfill the organization's demands while nurturing a culture of innovation and accountability.
  3. Collaborates with business leaders to facilitate change and resolve operational challenges, ensuring that technology planning is strategic and inclusive of input from various teams.
  4. Champions the organization's digital transformation by assessing technology requirements, crafting implementation strategies, and maximizing system benefits.
  5. Oversees data governance initiatives to ensure stakeholder engagement and accountability.
  6. Manages organizational policies regarding risk, compliance, and security, including the development of technology risk management protocols.
  7. Provides insights on cybersecurity measures and ensures the protection of systems and information.
  8. Evaluates systems for efficiency and reliability, working with internal staff and external vendors to develop technology solutions.
  9. Assists senior leadership in defining the mission and vision of the technology department to cultivate a business-focused culture.
  10. Oversees technology budgets to promote cost-effective operations and supports capital budget development.
  11. Manages negotiations and administration of technology vendor contracts and service agreements.
  12. Engages with relevant committees, providing necessary administrative support and attending meetings as required.
  13. Guides, mentors, and coaches staff and project teams, setting clear expectations and monitoring progress.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce/Nimble is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in IT leadership and delivery, with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Experience in integrating third-party systems with management systems.
  • Exceptional management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a self-driven approach to leadership.
  • Experience in collaborative projects across multiple units or organizations.
  • Ability to effectively manage and evolve systems in support of organizational success.
  • Expertise in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Commitment to maintaining high professional standards of integrity and ethics.
