Job Overview

Position Summary

The Chief Technology Strategist is tasked with fostering collaboration across all organizational levels to enhance the utilization of current business systems and develop synergies that promote innovative and cost-effective solutions aligned with the organization's objectives. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the digital strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overarching enterprise strategy to meet future demands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Directs the technology team in overseeing the management of infrastructure, hardware, software, and communication systems.
  2. Builds and nurtures a skilled team of technology professionals, promoting a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability.
  3. Collaborates with business leaders to facilitate change and address operational challenges, ensuring that technology planning aligns with organizational goals.
  4. Drives the organization's digital transformation by assessing technology requirements, crafting implementation strategies, and maximizing system benefits.
  5. Leads data governance initiatives to ensure stakeholder engagement and oversight of critical data.
  6. Implements organizational policies related to risk management, compliance, and security, enhancing disaster recovery and business continuity measures.
  7. Advises on cybersecurity strategies and ensures the protection of systems and information.
  8. Evaluates technology systems for efficiency and reliability, working with internal staff and external partners to develop and implement solutions.
  9. Assists senior leadership in defining the mission and vision of the technology department, fostering a business-oriented culture.
  10. Manages technology budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and supports capital budget development.
  11. Oversees vendor negotiations and service agreements related to technology.
  12. Provides administrative support for relevant committees and participates in meetings as necessary.
  13. Mentors and guides staff and project teams, setting clear expectations and monitoring progress.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce/Nimble is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in IT leadership, particularly in delivering innovative solutions that support business objectives.
  • Experience in integrating third-party systems with management systems.
  • Strong management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact.
  • Self-motivated IT leader with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in collaborative projects across multiple units or organizations.
  • Capability to plan and manage systems and solutions that support organizational success.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Expertise in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Commitment to high professional standards of integrity and ethics.
