Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in strategizing, managing, and executing the marketing and communication initiatives for HoneyRock. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position is integral to the planning and execution of marketing strategies aimed at enrollment and advancement objectives for the HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development. Collaboration with the Wheaton College Office of Marketing Communications is essential, ensuring a cohesive approach to outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Marketing Strategy Development & Implementation**: Spearhead the planning and execution of marketing strategies to enhance visibility, promote programs, and generate measurable inquiries in collaboration with program directors for key initiatives, including:
  • Seasonal summer staffing.
  • Summer camp programs.
  • Wheaton in the Northwoods initiative.
  • Vanguard Gap Year program.
  • M.A. in Outdoor Adventure Leadership.
  • Additional programs as prioritized.
  • Note: For Advancement initiatives, primary responsibility lies with the Donor Care and Operations Manager, with the Marketing Coordinator providing support and insights.
2. **Content Creation & Communication**: Lead the planning and execution of communication strategies aimed at expanding and engaging HoneyRock's audience. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of messaging.

3. **Website Management**: Oversee the HoneyRock website, focusing on navigation, search engine optimization, visual content, written material, and backend analytics.

4. **Social Media Management**: Develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive social media strategy.

5. **Market Analysis**: Conduct market research as needed to inform strategies and initiatives.

6. **Summer Student Media Team Oversight**: Recruit, train, and supervise a team to produce high-quality content.

7. **Special Projects**: Engage in special projects as necessary, aligned with capacity and strategic goals.

Note: This job description outlines key responsibilities; specific tasks may evolve and include additional duties as assigned.

Location:

This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence for team meetings and key discussions, with flexibility in location and hours as determined by the Director of Marketing in collaboration with the HoneyRock Executive Director.

Qualifications
