Affiliated with Butterfly Equity, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, we benefit from their extensive expertise across the food value chain, focusing on agriculture, aquaculture, food products, distribution, and foodservice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing will spearhead the development and execution of strategies aimed at optimizing sales and enhancing marketing efforts to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and coordinating all sales and marketing initiatives in line with the company's objectives.
- Contributing to strategic planning and formulating the annual revenue strategy.
- Managing sales volume forecasts and customer relations to facilitate effective communication.
- Participating in the Executive Team to shape tactical and strategic plans.
- Identifying and nurturing new customer sales opportunities.
- Leading a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives, and providing ongoing coaching.
- Analyzing market trends and customer preferences to uncover growth opportunities.
- Collaborating with various departments to streamline processes and achieve organizational goals.
- Managing participation in trade shows and events to showcase the company's offerings.
- Executing comprehensive marketing strategies to support sales objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with over 7 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role within the produce sector.
- Proven track record of business achievements as a sales leader.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60% of the time.
- Valid Driver's License.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in building and guiding high-performing teams.
- Strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Results-driven approach focused on revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA preferred with 10-15 years of sales experience.
- 15+ years in the Produce Industry.
- Experience in a food business with significant sales volume is highly desirable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May require extended periods of sitting or standing.
- May involve walking and climbing stairs.
WORK SCHEDULE:
1st Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Monday through Friday, with potential for before/after hours as needed.
