About the Role

The Learning Center Assistant is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our students and staff. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including phone reception, word processing, data entry, filing, and other related duties.
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist students, parents, and potential customers in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to Sylvan Learning standards.
  • Scheduling: Field inquiry calls from potential customers, manage scheduling changes for current families, and assist Center Directors with preparing materials for parent conferences and assessments.
  • Center Maintenance: Assist Center Directors in maintaining the professional appearance of the Center, adhering to Sylvan Learning standards.
  • Student Support: Support standards and procedures to ensure student safety and well-being, and assist teachers with preparation for instruction.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree required.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of customer service experience preferred, with retail sales experience also preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other standard business applications, as well as knowledge of general office equipment.
