Job Summary

This position requires a skilled electrician to work under direction and lead a team of lower-level electricians and/or crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of training or experience in electrical work under the supervision of an experienced electrician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of electricians and/or crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.
  • Determine and complete materials needed, cost estimates, and submit requests to purchase.
  • Read blueprints and/or schematic diagrams and maintain inventory of electrical supplies.
  • Maintain tool count of tools used by incarcerated individuals and perform other maintenance and/or miscellaneous duties.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations and perform security functions as required.
Requirements
  • 18 months of training or experience in electrical work under the supervision of an experienced electrician.
  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and in reading and writing common English vocabulary.
