We're seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Service Technician IV to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, and other resources to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, with a strong focus on organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry, with a focus on service and repair of sprinkler and suppression systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NICET Level II certification is a plus.
  • Backflow certification is a plus.
