Ameresco, a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, owner and operator, is seeking an experienced Electrician to join its Operations & Maintenance Group in the Portland, ME area.

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial or utility solar facilities. Your duties will include recognizing safety hazards and following safety guidelines, reading and interpreting instruction manuals and blueprints, and completing written and electronic records to document your work.

You will also be responsible for repairing, testing, and troubleshooting solar site equipment, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment. Additionally, you will supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers to teach proper and safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need a current Journeyman Electrician License, a minimum of two years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experience, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. You will also need a valid Drivers' License in good standing and knowledge of electricity, voltage, and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
