Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal products using metal forming machines and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Treat all customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist customers and vendors with the loading and unloading of materials.
- Fabrication
- Fabricate sheet metal products using metal forming machines and equipment.
- Use hand tools or power-driven equipment as required.
- Quality Control
- Prepare material for outbound shipments.
- Prepare accurate daily paperwork when applicable.
- Maintenance
- Maintain equipment and a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience is preferred.
- Skills
- Ability to prepare, de-burr, buff, grind, and finish sheet metal.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication machinery and general equipment setup.
- Ability to read various measuring devices.
- Knowledge of safety equipment and procedures related to sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to positively interact with fellow workers and customers.
- Ability to read/interpret basic blueprint outlines, engineering sketches, and hand drawings as applicable.
