Biomedical Equipment Specialist

Clearwaters is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team in Bethesda, MD. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and testing biomedical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, repair, and test biomedical equipment in accordance with strict OEM technical compliance.
- Analyze problems in integrated/interfaced systems involving numerous complex circuits.
- Use complex electronic and electromechanical test and measuring equipment.
- Trace electronics logic from one system to another.
- Use standard computers and software to enter and extract data to maintain records and document actions.
- Repair mechanical equipment such as sterilizers, X-ray tables, operating tables, pressure breathing therapy units, respirators, and other mechanical assemblies.
- Use electronic test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, liquid/air flow sheets, technical manuals, and other specifications.
- Make various mathematical computations using algebraic expressions and shop formulas in relation to load requirements of wiring and equipment.
- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET) preferred, or a University and/or Military Advanced Biomedical Equipment Repairer Course Certificate of Completion.
- Minimum of two years of biomedical equipment technician experience.
- An associate degree or higher in biomedical equipment technology or engineering (preferred).
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a security clearance.
