Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer 2 to contribute to the success of our hotel team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  2. Complete maintenance requests efficiently, minimizing disruptions to guests and staff.
  3. Ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping of maintenance activities.
  4. Assist with a range of maintenance tasks, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, electrical, and IT operations.
  5. Inspect and maintain electrical equipment, such as compressors, circulation pumps, filters, outlets, thermostats, and ice machines.
  6. Participate in preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep according to established schedules.
  7. Ensure standby units are readily available for operation.
  8. Stay informed about departmental projects and activity status.
  9. Perform repairs and maintenance on wall coverings and paint throughout the hotel.
  10. Inspect, repair, and replace safety equipment, fire hoses, cabinets, water valves, fire extinguishers, fire escapes, etc.
  11. Maintain a suitable inventory of engineering tools and supplies.
  12. Adhere to all operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  13. Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
  14. Familiarize yourself with safety and emergency procedures, including OSHA requirements.
Requirements
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Four years of related experience in hospitality or a service industry preferred.
  3. Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  4. Ethical conduct and a positive attitude.
  5. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
  6. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
