Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ocean and air import logistics.
  • Generate and upload arrival notifications into the system.
  • Timely preparation and distribution of arrival notifications.
  • Track and trace shipments, ensuring clients are updated on any changes.
  • Handle inquiries via email and phone, managing all aspects from ISF filing to customs clearance and delivery.
  • Verify Ocean Bill of Lading and payment prerequisites before freight release.
  • Oversee import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays, storage, and demurrage costs.
  • Address U.S. customs issues and liaise with government agencies as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation and records in line with the company's paperless protocols.
  • Coordinate with trucking and warehousing for delivery scheduling.
  • Respond promptly to all incoming correspondence to effectively manage daily operations.
  • Process accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy of debit/credit notes.
  • Enhance internal systems and procedures to exceed client expectations and improve team efficiency.
  • Continuously refine business operations and communication between overseas and U.S. offices to boost productivity.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Mandarin is strongly preferred for effective communication with international offices.
  • Associate degree or higher; certification in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position within an international freight forwarding organization.
  • Proficient in ocean transport with knowledge of terminal procedures.
  • Familiarity with air freight and airline recovery processes is essential.
  • Experience with LCL and understanding of CFS procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of transloading, FTL, and LTL services is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Effective time management skills, capable of meeting multiple deadlines under pressure.
  • Must be able to work 100% on-site.
