**Job Summary:**
Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled DRG Coordinator to join our team in the Health Information Management Department. As a key member of our clinical reimbursement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and organize the clinical reimbursement area to ensure efficient and accurate processing of claims.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of MS-DRG coding and validation, as well as relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve coding and reimbursement issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on coding and reimbursement best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and emerging trends in clinical reimbursement.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business or a related field.
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification.
- At least five years of progressive coding experience in an acute care setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of office software products, including Experience Invasion, Comp care, or Smart.
- Knowledge of N-Coder or 3M.
