About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical-Telemetry Unit on a per diem basis. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide safe and high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the patient's designated care partner to meet their educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Follow communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs among providers, and across transitions in care utilizing the SBAR process.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
  • Current Nevada nursing license.
  • Current BLS certificate.
  • Current ACLS certificate.
  • One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
