Medical Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit at Sierra Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients' needs are met and that care is coordinated.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
