Job Description

Elevate Human Capital is seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Operational Excellence Group, this position involves leveraging a strong background in analytics, consulting, and project management to drive process improvements and automation within the Aftermarket/Manufacturing domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Understand system relationships for the Aftermarket/Manufacturing and related processes, utilizing Python for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Business Process Improvement: Evaluate Aftermarket (Spares/Service/Repair) business processes, anticipating requirements, identifying improvement areas, and utilizing Python for data analysis and process optimization.
  • System Solutions Development: Assist in developing and implementing systems solutions for process improvements and automation within the Operational Excellence group.
  • Advanced Analytics: Provide supporting evidence using advanced analytics to guide the business user community.
  • Change Management: Assist and documenting change requirements for future process changes/improvements.
  • Business Issue Reporting: Report ongoing business issues relating to processes/systems, leveraging Python for data-driven insights and reporting.
  • Strategic Direction: Assist senior management to provide strategic direction and developing, implementing, and monitoring goals, objectives, priorities, and procedures relating to the organization, using Python for data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Innovation: Understand the Aftermarket (Spares/Service/Repair) strategy and working toward continuous business process improvements based on immediate and future business needs, utilizing Python for data analysis and process innovation.
  • Efficiency and Effectiveness: Apply process innovation to overcome organizational problems and drive efficiency.
  • Task Completion: Complete set tasks within the Operational Excellence group's work areas, leveraging Python for data analysis and process optimization.
  • Design and Reporting: Assist with design and reports with metrics used to demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness, identifying roadblocks, and assessing impact to project plans, using Python for data analysis and reporting.
  • Problem Resolution: Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training where required.
  • Quality and Safety: Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.
  • Job Requirements: Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Safety and Compliance: Be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to HSE.
  • Authority and Responsibility: Responsible for and the authority to maintain and promote a safe working environment in accordance with the appropriate HSE procedure(s).
  • Culture and Compliance: Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV.
  • Company Policies: Comply with all Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental policies & procedures.
  • Objectives: Ensure compliance of the company's overall objectives.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned by management and leadership within operational excellent group.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a business process-related role, with a strong background in consulting, project management, and Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Conceptual Thinking: Exceptional conceptual thinking skills, with a global mindset and expertise in Python for data analysis and process optimization.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and process optimization, with a solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel. Proficiency with Excel formulas, pivot tables, and graphing.
  • IS Skills: Strong IS skillset in non-Microsoft applications, for data analysis, automation, and visualization.
  • Data Management: Experience with different methods for dealing with large, multi-dimensional data sets, including relational databases, SQL, and ETL.
  • Critical Path Activities: Highlight critical path activities that can affect project deadlines/deliverables.
  • Situation Awareness: Maintain a high degree of situation awareness, leveraging Python for data analysis and insight generation.
  • Remote Meetings: Arrange remote meetings and work groups with business leaders and/or SMEs in a matrixed organization.
Schedule:

Flexible start and end times - 7:00AM to 4:00PM, 7:30AM to 4:30PM, or 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

This position will be 100% on-site for the first 1-3 months, then a hybrid schedule is available, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
