Job Summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II Site Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Service Center, you will be responsible for leading daily activities, ensuring quality blood samples are collected, and providing exceptional customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using established procedures.
  • Administer oral solutions and research test/client information to confirm and verify orders.
  • Enter data accurately, including patient registration, test orders, and billing information.
  • Perform departmental-related clerical duties, such as data entry, inventory, and answering phones.
  • Lead daily activities at the Patient Service Center, direct staff, and ensure process excellence.
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements

The position requires lifting light to moderately heavy objects, sitting or standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks with dominant hand.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Superior customer focus, ability to communicate openly and transparently, and knowledge of our business.
Education and Certifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states).
