HVAC Technician/Installer

Salary: $25-45 per hour DOE
Position Summary
The HVAC Technician/Installer is responsible for providing outstanding HVAC installation services by effectively completing the installation of HVAC systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Install HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Assemble and install sheet metal ductwork.
- Connect gas lines to heating systems.
- Cut and thread piping as required.
- Wire heating systems for both line and low voltage.
- Install copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
- Ensure the work area is clean and organized upon completion of tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to industry safety standards.
- Maintain a tidy job site and ensure the service vehicle is well-kept.
- Exhibit safety awareness both on-site and while operating vehicles.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Journeyman License.
- EPA Certification or in the process of obtaining.
- NATE Certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using tablets or smartphones and capable of navigating using GPS.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces.
- General understanding of power tools and safe operating procedures.
- Possess a valid driver's license and meet the company's insurance requirements.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and equipment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Consistently lift a minimum of 25 pounds and carry it for distances up to 250 feet without assistance.
- Operate handheld power tools.
- Wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Work more than 40 hours per week, including shifts up to 12 hours.
Work Environment:
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work on concrete and uneven surfaces for extended periods.
- May need to work in challenging environments while carrying necessary tools and materials.
