Job Overview

Salary: $25-45 per hour DOE

Position Summary

The HVAC Technician/Installer is responsible for providing outstanding HVAC installation services by effectively completing the installation of HVAC systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assemble and install sheet metal ductwork.
  • Connect gas lines to heating systems.
  • Cut and thread piping as required.
  • Wire heating systems for both line and low voltage.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized upon completion of tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to industry safety standards.
  • Maintain a tidy job site and ensure the service vehicle is well-kept.
  • Exhibit safety awareness both on-site and while operating vehicles.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Journeyman License.
  • EPA Certification or in the process of obtaining.
  • NATE Certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using tablets or smartphones and capable of navigating using GPS.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces.
  • General understanding of power tools and safe operating procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet the company's insurance requirements.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Consistently lift a minimum of 25 pounds and carry it for distances up to 250 feet without assistance.
  • Operate handheld power tools.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Work more than 40 hours per week, including shifts up to 12 hours.

Work Environment:

  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work on concrete and uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • May need to work in challenging environments while carrying necessary tools and materials.
