Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Commissioning: Load system-level controller software, perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics, and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Communication and Documentation: Keep management and stakeholders informed of job progress and issues, complete administrative tasks, and document changes for as-built documentation.
  • Technical Expertise: Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, demonstrating a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Vocational School four-year program graduate, an Associate degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment, effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
  • Soft Skills: Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people, demonstrated effective writing skills, and an understanding of programs and software applications.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
