Job Title: MSL Field Director, Ophthalmology

At BESTMSLs, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MSL Field Director to join our team in the Ophthalmology therapeutic area. As a key member of our medical affairs team, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a strategic field plan to support the attainment of medical and business objectives in the Corneal Health area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive field strategy to support the therapeutic area medical objectives, including the coordination and optimization of materials and communications.
  • Establish a productive work environment and positive culture within the field-medical team, promoting trust, respect, and confidence.
  • Recruit and retain key talent for the company, building a diverse workforce and maintaining high visibility and open communication with the entire field-based MSL team.
  • Optimize field strategy and determine tactical execution plans to support the attainment of business objectives, including the analysis and prioritization of clinical/market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-therapeutic peers to enhance field-medical function, ensuring standardization, consistency, and enhancement of field-medical teams.
  • Drive the evolution of the MSL pipeline contribution, developing expectations for field-medical assets and study leads, and strategically aligning with the therapeutic area to prioritize MSL involvement with clinical programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in the health sciences from an accredited university required; advanced degree preferred in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience with demonstrated leadership success in pharmaceutical field-based experience and/or pharmaceutical industry-related experience.
  • Exhibits leadership attributes that align with company-wide initiatives, including flexibility in adapting/reacting to changing market dynamics and competitive challenges.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to demonstrate leadership and initiative, and teamwork is a mandatory requirement.
