Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Information Assurance Specialist to enhance our Cyber Security Team's capabilities. This role is critical in ensuring the security and compliance of our systems.

Work Environment:
This position requires onsite presence due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in compliance activities to ensure adherence to security configuration guidelines and monitoring protocols.
2. Continuously assess the organization’s alignment with established policies, guidelines, and regulations to maintain compliance.
3. Develop and oversee remediation plans for vulnerabilities identified through audits and risk assessments.
4. Foster a culture of security awareness among management and ensure that security principles are integrated into the organization's objectives.
5. Track and manage audit findings, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks.
6. Provide recommendations for resource allocation to meet cybersecurity requirements effectively.
7. Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and situational awareness information for stakeholders.
8. Identify potential security violations and take necessary actions to report incidents.
9. Collaborate with Program Managers and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to create and maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and related documentation.
10. Ensure that systems are operated and disposed of in accordance with security policies.
11. Conduct vulnerability assessments and configuration evaluations for networks, systems, and applications.
12. Align IT security priorities with the overarching security strategy.
13. Participate in regular compliance assessments to ensure organizational adherence to security standards.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Security Plus certification is the minimum requirement for 8570 compliance.

Additional Requirements:
- A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is essential. Candidates may need to pass a CI polygraph.
- The interview process will include a phone screening followed by a comprehensive virtual interview with team members.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options available (e.g., 9/80 or 4/10 workweeks).
