Electro-Mechanical Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary
MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a skilled Electro-Mechanical Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fabrication Engineering Group, you will assist in the fabrication process and delivery of prototype systems, ensuring quality materials, parts, and assemblies are delivered to program teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various assembly tasks to electro/optical/mechanical assemblies for US government contracts.
- Work per procedures and drawings for the program.
- Some work may be in a cleanroom where gowning up would be required.
- Initially, duties will also include training on facility processes, software, and tools.
- Candidate will be trained in all procedures and protocols relevant to the requirements of the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Recognized self-motivator that seeks to continuously learn and challenge themselves.
- Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- An excitement for fabricating complex parts that enable programs teams to develop prototype systems that demonstrate technology of national importance.
- Mechanically inclined, prior experience with machining or mechanical assembly desired.
- Must pass required in-house training certifications.
Additional Information
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
