Residential Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at Pelham Academy, a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma-informed care. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour comprehensive care to our students, including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement daily activities that promote enrichment and engagement for our students, such as arts and crafts, recreational activities, and off-site field trips.
- Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing effective coping strategies and role-modeling positive behaviors.
- Help students develop life skills, such as cooking, banking, and vocational skills, to promote independence and self-confidence.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in a different language other than English required.
- Maintains valid driver's license as transporting students is required.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
