We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced veterinary surgeon to join our faculty in small animal surgery at Midwestern University. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our young veterinary college, while also advancing your own career and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services for small animal patients in the Companion Animal Clinic
- Teach and mentor students in small animal surgery, with a focus on clinical excellence and student-centered learning
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and teaching programs in small animal surgery
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a team approach to teaching and service
Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Arizona State Veterinary License
- Board certification (or eligibility) by ACVS or ECVS
- Evidence of excellent clinical and communication skills
- A strong commitment to meeting the needs of students, and an understanding of student-centered learning
Desirable Qualifications:
- MS or PhD degree in a relevant field of study
- Additional advanced training in a small animal clinical field
- Evidence of interest and experience in research
