Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor of Small Animal Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated faculty member to join our team at Midwestern University as a Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor of Small Animal Surgery. The successful candidate will provide clinical services for small animal patients in the Companion Animal Clinic and contribute to the growth and development of our young veterinary college.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to small animal patients in the Companion Animal Clinic
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and teaching programs in small animal surgery
  • Collaborate with faculty members to foster a team approach to teaching and service
  • Participate in research and scholarly activities to advance the field of small animal surgery

Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Arizona State Veterinary License
  • Board certification (or eligibility) by ACVS or ECVS
  • Evidence of excellent clinical and communication skills
  • A strong commitment to meeting the needs of students and an understanding of student-centered learning

Desirable Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD degree in a relevant field of study
  • Additional advanced training in a small animal clinical field
  • Evidence of interest and experience in research
