The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and clinical excellence, with a passion for mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional development. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and advancing the field of veterinary surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services for small animal patients in the Companion Animal Clinic
- Teach and mentor students in small animal surgery
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and teaching programs
- Participate in research and scholarly activities
Requirements:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Arizona State Veterinary License
- Board certification (or eligibility) by ACVS or ECVS
- Evidence of excellent clinical and communication skills
- A strong commitment to meeting the needs of students and an understanding of student-centered learning
Desirable Qualifications:
- MS or PhD degree in a relevant field of study
- Additional advanced training in a small animal clinical field
- Evidence of interest and experience in research
