Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Ultium Cells is a leading manufacturer of lithium-ion automotive battery cells, and we are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to support our financial performance and drive business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with our FP&A, Internal Controls, and Treasury teams to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support corporate audits and external auditor testing
  • Oversee journal entries, accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
  • Assist in month-end procedures and produce accurate and timely reports
  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned functional areas
  • Establish standard product costing drivers to be integrated into the SAP system
  • Perform inventory control measures to be analyzed and optimized
  • Assist in half-year-end and year-end additional procedures, including physical inventory
  • Work with the FP&A team for consolidation and reporting of actuals
  • Serve as accounting subject matter expert on cross-functional activities
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports as directed or assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate finance and/or financial analysis
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Bilingual in English and Korean highly preferred
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • SAP experience preferred
