Position Overview

We are looking for a Healthcare Billing Specialist to join our dedicated team at Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic. This role is essential in managing patient accounts and ensuring accurate billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely posting of payments.
  • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all billing activities.
  • Investigate and resolve denied claims through thorough research and appeals.
  • Utilize aging and denied claim reports to secure outstanding payments.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance policies and procedures for effective claims processing.
  • Handle high-volume billing across multiple providers and locations.
  • Process credit card transactions from insurance providers efficiently.
  • Manage refund requests from both patients and insurance entities.
  • Oversee patient collections, including communication and payment plan arrangements.
  • Compile monthly reports on overdue balances and collaborate with collection agencies as necessary.
  • Address returned mail and maintain accurate mailing records.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of billing and patient information management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in medical billing or a related financial field.
  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
